How are Myki fares calculated?
Myki fares depend on the mode of transport, distance travelled, zone boundaries, fare type, and time of travel. There are three zone groups: Free Tram Zone, Zone 1+2, and Zone 2 only. Fares are calculated using Myki Money or Myki Pass pricing structures.
Do I need a Myki card to travel?

- Myki Money: pay-as-you-go system that auto-calculates fares when you touch on and touch off.
- Myki Pass: pre-paid travel for 7 to 365 days, based on your selected zones.
